Questions, answered plainly
- What's free?
- The daily verse and six situations — including the crisis entries — are free forever, no account needed. They stay free whatever happens to pricing.
- How does the free trial work?
- Both plans start with 7 free days. You add a payment method, but nothing is charged until the trial ends — and cancelling during the trial costs nothing.
- How do I cancel — and can I get a refund?
- From your account page, one tap, no emails to write. Cancellation takes effect at the end of what you've paid for. And within 14 days of your first payment, write to hello@shalah.app and we'll refund it in full.
- Which Bible translations do you use?
- Public-domain translations, quoted verbatim: the World English Bible (English), Louis Segond 1910 (French), Reina-Valera 1909 (Spanish) and Bíblia Livre (Portuguese). Scripture here is never behind copyright.
- Is this a substitute for therapy or counselling?
- No. Shalah offers scripture, context and prayer — it isn't medical or psychological care, and it isn't a crisis service. If you're in danger or crisis, the crisis pages point to real-world help, free, no account needed.
